About the Role
The Category Management Consultant is a key member of Bedrock’s Client Success team, responsible for ensuring our customers extract maximum value from the Bedrock platform. This role goes beyond delivering insights. The role focuses on customizing retail analyses for client needs, configuring the Bedrock platform for specific use cases, and driving adoption of Bedrock.
As both a subject matter expert in the CPG ecosystem and a trusted advisor on the Bedrock platform, you will partner closely with our customers to ensure their unique business objectives are supported, helping them win at retail and strengthen their relationship with Bedrock.

Core Responsibilities
Customer Customization & Configuration
· Work with clients to tailor the Bedrock platform to their specific use cases, ensuring data, dashboards, and analyses align with their business goals.
· Configure retail analyses, visualizations, and reporting structures to meet customer requirements and improve decision-making.
Client Engagement & Churn Reduction
· Act as a trusted advisor to help clients maximize the platform’s value, driving adoption and minimizing churn.
· Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships by addressing pain points, customizing workflows, and delivering measurable outcomes.
Insights & Retail Impact
· Translate customer and category data into actionable retail strategies, connecting insights to tangible wins at retail.
· Lead and own consulting engagements, including scoping, delivery, and follow-ups.
Enablement & Training
· Conduct training sessions and workshops to upskill client teams on both category management principles and Bedrock’s platform capabilities.
· Develop repeatable frameworks and best practices that ensure consistent customer success.
Internal Collaboration
· Partner with Bedrock’s Account Management, Customer Operations, and Product teams to align on deliverables, influence roadmap priorities, and expand customer value.
What We're Looking For
· 3–7 years of Category Management or CPG consulting experience.
· Deep knowledge of syndicated data (NIQ, Circana, SPINS) and retailer-specific datasets.
· Experience working directly with retailers or supporting Sales/Category Management teams.
· Strong communication and consulting skills, with the ability to tailor insights to different stakeholders.
· A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
Bonus Experience
• Experience configuring or deploying analytics platforms for client-specific use cases.
• Proven track record of reducing customer churn or driving measurable adoption in SaaS/analytics contexts.
• Prior work in a CPG-focused consulting or customer success role.
