System Test Engineer

Celona is seeking seasoned System Test Engineer who would help us ensure that Celona’s enterprise 5G LAN solution meets our customers quality expectations. Candidates must possess initiative, adaptability, problem solving skills, and deep understanding of QA processes. Candidates with networking and wireless experience would be a huge plus!

The ideal candidate must be onsite at our Campbell. CA Headquarters

Responsibilities:

• Work with software development engineers, field support engineers, product managers, and software test engineers to analyze customer requirements and use cases, gather technical details, and create test plans
• Setup complex test environments that consist of multiple OS platforms, hypervisors, routers, firewalls, 4G/5G RAN, Core to replicate customer scenarios
• Develop tests to validate Celona’s Cloud Orchestrator, Edge, Access Point functions, scale, and performance
• Release level assessment in the areas of System, Scale and Performance
• Provide clearly documented bug reports that gives a detailed characterization of the conditions the bug is triggered, the behavior that results and the ultimate impact on the end users/customers

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related technical field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in QA methodologies for networking products
• Hands-on experience with data network protocols/technologies and setting up lab (routers, firewalls, VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, NAT, WiFi)
• Experience with Cloud based management (AWS, GCP, Azure) and API’s for networking products
• Experience with NFV (Network Function Virtualization), Kubernetes, containers, hypervisors
• Experience with commercial (Keysight/IXIA, Spirent, Viavi, etc.), open-source performance and scale test tools
• Good understanding of testing and triage defects
• Ability to self-direct, work within constraints and be a strong team player

Desired Skills:

• Programming/Scripting experience with Python, API automation
• Packet core technologies (5G, 4G, EPC, MME, S-GW, P-GW, HSS)

Compensation for this role is between $140,000 - $155,000 On Target Earnings depending on your location, job-related skills, and experience.
