Role at a Glance
We're looking for a Sales Operations Intern to support our CRM and Sales Operations team with a critical project: CRM data hygiene. This internship is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in sales operations, systems, and analytics. You'll play a key role in cleaning and optimizing our CRM data to support more accurate reporting, better lead management, and higher operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- CRM Data Cleanup: Identify and correct data inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and duplicate records within our CRM (e.g., HubSpot). Help establish a single source of truth for Sales and Marketing teams.
- Data Validation: Cross-check CRM records against standardized formats, validate contact information, and correct any errors in customer profiles.
- Duplicate Management: Locate and merge duplicate leads, companies, or deals to ensure clean segmentation and reduce inefficiencies in sales outreach.
- Standardization & Formatting: Standardize fields such as titles, phone numbers, industry names, and lead sources to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Missing Data Enrichment: Identify gaps in key fields and support efforts to enrich missing data using internal tools or external sources.
- Process Documentation: Assist in documenting cleanup processes, workflows, and best practices to support long-term data hygiene efforts.
- Collaboration with RevOps: Work alongside RevOps teams to prioritize data issues and suggest improvements to workflows or automation.
- Ongoing Maintenance Support: Contribute to the development of ongoing data maintenance plans and assist in implementing automation where applicable.
Essential Skills:
- Detail-Oriented Mindset: You have a sharp eye for inconsistencies and take pride in delivering clean, accurate data.
- Basic CRM Knowledge: Exposure to CRM tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Excel Proficiency: Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets for basic data manipulation and validation tasks.
- Analytical Thinking: Able to assess data patterns, identify inconsistencies, and propose practical fixes.
- Organizational Skills: Capable of managing tasks methodically and handling large data sets without getting overwhelmed.
- Curious and Proactive: Eager to learn, ask questions, and explore ways to improve tools and processes.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field. Final-year university student.
- Strong interest in sales operations, CRM systems, and data management.
- Familiarity with tools like Excel/Google Sheets; SQL knowledge is a plus but not required.
- Basic understanding of customer data, sales funnels, or CRM systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
