About the Role
Paystand is hiring a Payments Lead to own and scale Yaydoo's live payments operation. The product is already processing real volume; this role is about turning it into a reliable, repeatable, growing business. You'll start focused on Yaydoo payments and expand into broader LATAM and multi-BU initiatives as you build a track record of execution.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role working with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, CX, Sales, and Implementation.
What You'll Own
- Run day-to-day Yaydoo payments operations: monitor transaction health, exceptions, reconciliation, and settlement timing.
- Drive volume growth by removing friction from onboarding, activation, and partner handoffs.
- Track and improve throughput, success rates, failure reasons, and unit economics.
- Build trusted dashboards and reporting that give leadership visibility into payment performance and risk.
- Strengthen controls, documentation, and escalation paths so operations stay auditable as volume scales.
- Identify recurring monitoring, reporting, and triage workflows that can be automated or improved with AI-enabled tooling.
- Support LATAM expansion by adapting playbooks to local market and regulatory needs as the platform matures.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in fintech, banking, payment operations, treasury operations, or similar high-accountability operational roles.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Experience scaling payment operations post-launch: volume ramp, exception reduction, reconciliation improvement, control design.
- Strong understanding of payment flows, settlement, reconciliation, and operational controls.
- Proven cross-functional execution with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, and CX.
- High ownership mindset and comfort in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Practical curiosity about using AI, automation, dashboards, or alerts to improve operational speed and quality.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to LATAM payments or regional expansion.
- Experience with B2B SaaS payments, AR/AP platforms, or transaction-based business models.
- Familiarity with APIs, payment integrations, SQL, or automation tooling.
