As we scale, we’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager (d.o.e.) to join our dynamic team. You’ll be an integral part of building and refining our accounting processes, managing both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), and ensuring that we’re set up for long-term success. Responsibilities
Assist in the AR function including invoicing, collections, and cash receipts. Work closely with partner organizations to ensure timely collections.
Aid in the AP cycle, including processing invoices and payments. Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments and help to maintain positive relationships with our vendors and contractors.
Help in preparing monthly revenue recognition schedules and investigate discrepancies
Support the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Work with senior leadership to close the books in a fast-paced environment.
Take ownership of identifying and implementing process improvements and automations to streamline our AR and AP processes and overall financial operations.
Work closely with other teams, including product, operations, and sales, to ensure accurate financial data flows across the company and that the finance department is prepared to scale with the business.
Assist with tax filings, audits, and compliance reporting. Work closely with external auditors and tax professionals as needed.
Required Qualifications
2-5 years experience in fast-paced environment, preferably in audit or a start-up environment (CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial systems
Experience with QuickBooks Online, as well as other accounting systems (Netsuite, Campfire, etc.)
A high level of attention to detail, bordering on the extreme paired with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
