The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in functional testing, performance testing, and a deep understanding of quality assurance processes. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high quality and reliability of our products through meticulous testing and process adherence.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and execute comprehensive functional and performance testing of our software products to identify defects, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and design, to understand requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspects
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure efficient and repeatable testing processes
- Participate in the design and implementation of test strategies, test plans, and test cases, considering both functional and non-functional requirements
- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and validation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and methodologies, incorporating industry best practices and innovative techniques
- Mentor and guide junior quality engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the team
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in testing tools and technologies, and proactively apply them to enhance our testing capabilities
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- At least 10 years of proven experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role, with a customer-focus on functional and performance testing
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and best practices
- Proficiency in designing and executing automated test scripts in Javascript, Java or Python using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Rest Assured)
- Good knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and methodologies to assess system scalability and stability
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, isolate, and reproduce defects effectively
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working within Agile teams
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and disciplines
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality software products
- Leadership abilities and a willingness to mentor and guide junior team members
